Undecimal Bio launches with $18m seed round for targeted RNA delivery
The Eleven Therapeutics spinout brings together biotech and technology investors around a delivery platform for medicines that need to reach tissues beyond the liver.
A delivery-focused spinout
RNA therapies need access to the cells where they are intended to act. Undecimal’s launch centres on that bottleneck: finding chemical carriers that deliver small interfering RNA to selected tissues, opening a route to disease targets beyond those reached by established liver-directed approaches.
The company starts with research collaborations with pharmaceutical partners and a platform it says has been validated in vivo. Its initial programmes focus on renovascular disease.
Investor representation at launch
The seed financing is co-led by 4BIO Capital and IQ Capital. Both join the board alongside Harel Technologies and co-founders Yaniv Erlich and Shaul Ilan; Verve Ventures takes an observer seat.
