TimeTeller secures €150,000 InnoRampUp grant for circadian diagnostics

IFB Hamburg funding supports development of the Charité spinout’s saliva-based testing technology.

TimeTeller has secured funding through IFB Hamburg’s InnoRampUp programme, Charité’s Berlin Institute of Health announced on May 22, 2023. The company’s project received a €150,000 grant for scaling and optimizing its noninvasive circadian-rhythm product.

The Hamburg startup combines measurements of gene activity in saliva with mathematical models to characterize a person’s internal biological clock. It is participating in clinical studies to investigate how that information could help personalize treatment timing.

Founded in March 2023, TimeTeller grew out of Angela Relógio’s research at Charité. The grant supports the transition from academic research toward a diagnostic product.
