Spectronix adds ¥518m in Series F extension
The Japanese laser manufacturer is moving its deep-ultraviolet technology towards volume production for semiconductor processing.
Smaller features in semiconductor production
Spectronix’s latest source uses picosecond pulses at a 266-nanometre wavelength. The technology targets fine processing of semiconductors, electronic components and advanced materials, including the small holes needed in increasingly dense devices.
The company says the financing brings five new investor groups alongside two existing venture backers. The extension follows a ¥480 million Series F financing completed in December 2024.
Spectronix supplies the laser oscillator at the heart of processing equipment and supports customers with optical-system design and processing verification. That integration work helps connect a new light source to a usable production process.
