Shield AI announces $500 million debt financing arranged by JPMorgan Chase
The debt component supports the defense company’s planned Echodyne acquisition alongside two separate equity investments.
Shield AI has announced $500 million in debt financing led by JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., acting as sole arranger. The company disclosed the financing on November 5 as part of its planned purchase of radar developer Echodyne.
The debt forms part of a $2.5 billion package that includes a $1 billion Series H and $1 billion in structured equity from Blackstone-managed funds. The acquisition would add radar sensing to Shield AI’s autonomy, aircraft and simulation businesses; closing is expected in early 2027, subject to customary conditions.
