RoadGrid secures INR13 crore support for EV charger manufacturing

Technology Development Board assistance backs a Universal EV Charger production project.

The Technology Development Board announced financial assistance for RoadGrid's Universal EV Charger manufacturing project on July 31. Entrackr subsequently reported the assistance at INR13 crore within a project costing INR27.5 crore.

The planned facility will manufacture and assemble chargers and key components, including power electronics, controls, communications and metering systems. RoadGrid's design combines DC and AC charging to serve several categories of electric vehicles.

Entrackr reported planned annual capacity of 2,000 chargers and an expected commercial production start in March 2027. Those figures describe the expansion plan; the government announcement supports the same indigenous manufacturing project.
