Rivercell launches with $25m seed funding
HV leads financing for a Paris laboratory and AI platform modelling how cells respond to treatment.
Rivercell has announced a $25 million seed round led by HV, with participation from HCVC, Alven and Bpifrance Digital Venture.
The capital will expand the company’s data-generation platform and Paris laboratory and support the launch of its AI Virtual Cell program. Rivercell wants to predict cellular responses to drugs and genetic changes using models trained on purpose-built experimental data.
The financing supports a combined laboratory and AI development effort. Rivercell’s platform is designed to follow cellular responses over time and link different types of measurements, providing the training data for its models.
