Restate raises $20 million Series A to expand durable execution runtime
The platform records application progress so asynchronous services can resume after failures and continue long-running work.
Keep long-running workflows moving
Restate’s runtime records execution progress for application code, allowing services to retry failed steps and resume after interruptions. Developers use durable functions and workflows for tasks that span multiple calls, external systems or waits, while stateful Virtual Objects keep coordination attached to application logic.
The same runtime supports backend services and AI agent loops, with messaging and flow control built in. Teams can deploy it themselves or use Restate Cloud.
Series A led by Singular
Restate announced its $20 million Series A on September 30. Singular led the round, with Redpoint Ventures and Capital One Ventures participating.
