Rebaba raises $4.6m seed to scale second-life battery storage
The Swedish company will expand production of stationary storage built from repurposed electric-vehicle batteries.
Giving EV batteries a second life
Rebaba combines used electric-vehicle batteries with proprietary controls to create stationary energy storage. The systems can store locally generated renewable power, shift consumption, reduce peak demand and provide grid balancing for residential, commercial and industrial users.
The $4.6 million seed round will expand the company’s Stockholm CircularHub to 40 MWh of annual capacity, add production and commercial staff, and establish manufacturing capacity beyond Sweden. Rebaba’s next challenge is to turn its circular battery supply into repeatable installations at a larger production scale.
