RadioNano completes first Series B close ahead of RN-501 clinical trials
Mitsui Kinzoku joins the Kyoto University spinout as a shareholder while Kyoto iCAP’s 2021 fund invests again.
The funding marks a transition from nonclinical development toward testing RN-501 in people. The company has been preparing manufacturing processes and analytical methods alongside its preclinical work.
Mitsui Kinzoku already collaborates on the inorganic nanoparticles at the core of RN-501. Its investment deepens that relationship as the program moves toward clinical development. RadioNano is continuing fundraising for a second Series B close.
Use of funds
Conduct RN-501 Phase I/IIa clinical trials.
Establish GMP manufacturing and supply of the investigational medicine and strengthen the development team.
