Quantum Motion announces second close of Series C
New investors back the scale-up of silicon-based quantum computing.
Quantum Motion announced a second close of its Series C financing on September 3. imec.ventures, Lansdowne Partners, Sony Innovation Fund, S3 Ventures and Inkef invested in the closing. The additional amount was not disclosed.
The financing extends the Series C led by DCVC and Kembara. It supports custom silicon development, access to semiconductor manufacturing supply chains and the expansion of Quantum Motion’s quantum hardware operations.
Quantum Motion builds quantum computers using silicon transistors and standard CMOS manufacturing. Its approach is intended to bring quantum hardware into conventional data-centre environments.
