NOX Energy raises €3 million seed for household energy flexibility
The software connects heat pumps and solar systems to energy markets through supplier and manufacturer apps.
Coordinate devices and power markets
NOX links residential heat pumps and solar systems to its software, which can shift when devices run based on solar production, weather and electricity prices. Homeowners set comfort limits, while the platform forecasts consumption and coordinates compatible devices with energy suppliers.
The company says it has connected more than 10,000 devices and counts Eneco and Frank Energie among its customers. Its €3 million seed round was co-led by Rise PropTech and Volve Capital, with Seeder Fund, Uneti Ventures, Fair Capital Impact Fund and 100IN participating.
Expand partner integrations
NOX plans to expand beyond Belgium and the Netherlands and embed its optimisation tools in equipment-maker and energy-supplier apps. That approach keeps the service within channels households already use while making flexible home energy available to suppliers and grid operators.
