NOVUS secures funding for European expansion and a California launch
The electric Lightbike maker closed a round led by 468 Capital to expand distribution, develop a lower-priced model and enter the US.
NOVUS has closed a financing round led by 468 Capital to support the next stage of its electric Lightbike business. The company described the financing as a double-digit million amount; an exact figure and currency were not disclosed in the announcement.
The Braunschweig manufacturer plans to expand distribution in European cities and launch in California in 2027. Retail partnerships are intended to give prospective buyers a way to see and test its vehicles, complementing direct sales where partners are unavailable.
The funding will also support development of the lower-priced NOVUS Two. NOVUS began delivering its first model to European customers in spring 2026, moving its focus from getting the vehicle into production toward reaching a broader market.
