i23 secures $5.5m seed financing for AI-driven insurance broking

i23 secured $5.5 million in an oversubscribed seed round, Sky News reported on 28 October 2026. Outward VC, Seedcamp, Insiders VC and Four Cities Capital were among the investors jointly leading the financing.

The business is developing AI agents to handle routine insurance broking administration while supporting brokers’ work with clients. Founded by Bim Afolami and Anand Sambasivan, it plans to acquire an existing insurance broker as it develops the business.
