Maximor raises $9 million seed to automate finance operations
Foundation Capital leads funding for the AI finance platform now known as Hyphenate.
Funding an AI finance team
Maximor, now known as Hyphenate, announced a $9 million seed round on September 29, 2025. Foundation Capital led the financing, with participation from Gaia Ventures, BoldCap and angel investors including Aravind Srinivas and Tien Tzuo.
Automating work across existing systems
The company’s agents connect to enterprise resource planning, payroll, billing and banking systems to perform repetitive finance work. Workflows include account reconciliation, journal entries, revenue allocation and preparation of reporting packages.
The startup planned to use the funding to develop controllership workflows, expand engineering and AI research, and work with more finance teams. Its product is designed to fit around existing enterprise systems, with people reviewing exceptions and outputs.
