HighLife raises €80m to advance transcatheter mitral-valve replacement
Its catheter-delivered system is moving toward a US pivotal study as the company builds its European commercial presence.
A valve replacement delivered through a catheter
HighLife’s system is designed to replace the mitral valve through a catheter inserted via the femoral vein. Its valve-in-ring approach uses a patient’s existing surgical repair ring as an anchor, offering structural-heart teams a route to treat severe mitral regurgitation without open-heart surgery.
The company says the financing will support a US pivotal study and European commercialization. The two tracks mark the transition from clinical development toward broader use, while US pivotal testing remains ahead.
