EcoGPX wins Mindset backing for nature-connectedness research

EcoGPX and Intercultural Roots for Public Health are developing XR experiences for adults with generalised anxiety disorder.

EcoGPX was named as a funded lead in Innovate UK's Mindset announcement on 11 September 2025. The company is working with Intercultural Roots for Public Health on immersive experiences that connect adults living with generalised anxiety disorder to local natural spaces.

The project combines extended reality with physical activities. It builds on EcoGPX's community research approach and its PLACES mobile application, which lets people contribute content about their surroundings.

The award forms part of more than £3.6 million announced across 17 projects. UKRI did not disclose EcoGPX's allocation.
