Continuum gains Ara Partners backing to expand recycled metal powders
The metal-recycling company announced financing led by Ara Partners for production capacity, international expansion and further research.
Continuum announced financing led by Ara Partners on December 13, 2022, to expand production of recycled commercial metal powders. The company reported $36 million in total funding, without separating the amount of Ara’s latest investment.
The partnership also supported international growth and research into additional technologies and customer applications.
Recycling alloys for industrial use
Continuum uses its Greyhound technology to turn metal scrap into powders for manufacturing processes such as 3D printing and metal injection moulding. The business aims to keep valuable alloys in use rather than relying entirely on newly produced materials.
The 2022 announcement described Continuum as the commercial arm of MolyWorks. In June 2024, MolyWorks Materials Corporation formally adopted the Continuum Powders name, bringing its assets and operations under a unified brand.
