Circus secures €5.5 million in follow-on venture funding

BlackMars Capital and 2bX provide additional backing for the food-technology company.

Circus secured a further €5.5 million from BlackMars Capital and 2bX in financing reported on July 24, 2023. The investment followed the company’s earlier €11 million seed round.

The Hamburg business combined digital ordering with its own meal-production hubs and delivery operations. Its investors provided further backing as the company developed that model.

Company counsel YPOG subsequently confirmed the financing alongside Circus’s acquisition of cooking-robot developer Aitme. The investment round and the acquisition were separate transactions.
