Butterfly Learnings raises $1.5 million seed round to expand developmental care
The September 2022 funding supports the company’s digital services and physical therapy centres across India.
Butterfly Learnings announced $1.5 million in seed funding on September 26, 2022. Investors included Insitor Partners, 9Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, CIIE.CO, Fondation Botnar and UTIL Stiftung. Sagana Capital represented the two foundations.
The company planned to develop its digital product and expand its physical presence across India. Founded in 2021 by Dr Sonam Kothari and Dr Abhishek Sen, it delivered behavioural, speech and occupational therapies through in-person and online services. At the time of the announcement, it operated four centres in Mumbai and Thane.
