BioStack raises $9.5m seed for medical AI data infrastructure
The San Francisco startup will expand hospital partnerships, develop its clinical-data platform and grow engineering and research teams.
BioStack announced $9.5 million in seed financing on 22 October 2026 to expand its healthcare-data infrastructure. Backers included Peak XV, Afore Capital, DCVC, Emerson Collective, SV Angel, Verdict Capital, Streamlined Ventures and Y Combinator.
The company connects fragmented patient information across hospital systems to create longitudinal datasets and training environments for medical AI. It reports access to more than 100 million de-identified patient records across the United States, India, Brazil and Argentina.
Founded by CEO Sanat Mishra and CTO Parth Patwa, BioStack will use the capital to expand in US and international markets, develop its platform and grow engineering and research teams. Its datasets connect information such as imaging, laboratory results, treatment histories and patient outcomes for model training, evaluation and medical research.
