Bevel raises $6m Seed to build a personal insurance brokerage
Shakti VC, Resolute Ventures and Bessemer back a service combining risk advisors with AI tools.
Bevel raised $6 million in Seed funding from Shakti VC, Resolute Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners. The financing was reported on 27 August 2026 with company confirmation, ahead of Bevel’s own announcement the following day.
Moving from claims to coverage
The company began with free AI tools that help disaster survivors document lost possessions for insurance claims. It is now developing an insurance brokerage for qualifying households with complex personal risks, including home, auto and umbrella-liability coverage.
The capital will support engineering and insurance-producer hiring. Bevel pairs risk advisors with software for administrative work and analysis, while continuing to make its disaster-claims tools available free.
