Baba announces more than $6.5m seed led by General Catalyst
The February financing backed a care-advocacy service connecting older adults and families with nurses and social workers.
Baba announced more than $6.5m in seed financing on February 25, led by General Catalyst. Genius Ventures, Soma Capital, Ground Up Ventures and TriEdge Investments participated, alongside individual backers including Jordi Hays and Kareem Amin.
The company connects older adults and their families with advocates who coordinate care and help obtain practical support. Nurses and social workers work across providers, insurers and available benefits, addressing the administrative gaps that can prevent patients from receiving services.
At launch, Baba said it was already supporting thousands of families across the United States. It combined healthcare practitioners with a technology team and was recruiting across engineering, design and operations.
