Anthropic raised $3.5 billion in a Series E announced on March 3, 2025, at a $61.5 billion post-money valuation. Lightspeed led the round, joined by investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Cisco Investments, Fidelity Management & Research Company and Salesforce Ventures.
The company planned to use the capital to develop its next generation of AI systems, expand computing capacity and accelerate international expansion. The financing also supported its research into model interpretability and alignment, alongside the development of Claude.
