Agriflex founder Millicent Okumu wins $8,000 WAYA prize
The Kenyan agritech entrepreneur places second runner-up in AGRA’s Female Ag-Tech Innovator category.
Agriflex co-founder Millicent Okumu received an $8,000 prize as second runner-up in the Female Ag-Tech Innovator category of the 2026 VALUE4HER Women Agripreneurs of the Year Awards. The winners were named in a September 3 announcement following the awards in Kigali.
AGRA’s WAYA programme combines financial awards with mentorship, market access and investor connections. Okumu has described its continuing support as a benefit to Agriflex beyond the award itself.
Agriflex supplies agricultural inputs and crop protection services to Kenyan farmers. It combines those products with precision farming tools and advisory support, helping customers manage pests, monitor crops and improve how inputs are applied.
