Teraform secures investment from Hokkaido University Green Frontier Fund
The fund managed by 15th Rock backs commercialisation of SuperSponge, a soil water-retention material.
Teraform has received an investment through Hokkaido University Green Frontier Fund No. 1, managed by 15th Rock. The amount and detailed financing terms were not disclosed.
The fund plans to support research, field demonstrations and commercialisation linked to Hokkaido University, as well as the company’s development in Japan and overseas.
Teraform is developing SuperSponge, a naturally derived material intended to retain moisture around crop roots. The investment backs its work on a practical agricultural input for regions where water availability and irrigation costs constrain production.
