Battery-electric regional aircraft for passenger and cargo services.

Product

VÆRIDION is developing the Microliner, a battery-electric aircraft designed for short regional routes. The Munich company aims to connect communities and carry passengers or cargo through a smaller aircraft built around electric propulsion.

The design combines a glider-inspired wing, modular batteries and a multi-engine, single-propeller propulsion system. The nine-passenger version targets a range of 400 kilometres under instrument flight rules, including commercial reserves.

Engineering work takes place in Munich and Delft, with manufacturing planned in Bavaria. VÆRIDION is building and testing its battery and propulsion systems as it advances the first conforming aircraft and the certification programme.
