Nakama operates AniBiz, a business marketplace that connects anime rights holders with companies seeking commercial licenses.
A marketplace for anime licensing
AniBiz helps brands, manufacturers, game studios and entertainment companies discover anime titles and approach the businesses that control their rights. Licensees can create a business profile, explore available properties and submit proposals through the platform.
The service organizes information about rights availability, territories and commercial uses so buyers and rights holders can find relevant opportunities. Premium subscriptions add introductions and support for licensing conversations.
Built by anime industry operators
Nakama is based in San Francisco with operations in Tokyo. CEO Brady McCollum and co-founder Kun Gao came from the team behind Crunchyroll. The company launched AniBiz in July 2026.
