Celaid Therapeutics

Japan · Biotech · Healthtech

Celaid Therapeutics develops cell therapies using technology that expands blood-forming stem cells outside the body.

Expanding cells for transplantation

The company’s platform selectively expands hematopoietic stem cells, which can form blood and immune cells. Its lead candidate, CLD-001, uses frozen cord blood as starting material and is being developed for severe paediatric blood and immune disorders.

Preparing clinical development

Celaid aims to increase the usable stem-cell supply and flexibility in selecting compatible cord-blood units. The company has transferred its manufacturing process to a US development and manufacturing partner and completed a pre-IND meeting with the FDA. CLD-001 is preparing for US clinical development.
