Abyom SpaceTech & Defence is an Indian aerospace company developing reusable launch vehicles and re-ignitable liquid and cryogenic rocket engines. Its work spans propulsion, vehicle structures, avionics and ground testing.
Its vehicle roadmap includes suborbital research flights and orbital launch systems. Those programmes address missions ranging from atmospheric experiments and technology validation to satellite deployment.
Testing as part of the business
Abyom also operates a mobile rocket engine testing facility, offering static-fire and performance evaluation services to space and defence programmes. That infrastructure connects engine development with repeated testing.
Founder and CEO Jainul Abedin leads the Hyderabad-based company. IIT Madras Research Park lists Abyom as an IITM Incubation Cell company incorporated in 2020.
