Bijnis raises $30m Series B led by WestBridge Capital
The factory-to-retailer marketplace, now known as Zorit, will expand its networks, products and team.
Bijnis announced a $30 million Series B round led by WestBridge Capital on 28 September 2021. Existing backers Info Edge, Matrix Partners India, Sequoia Capital India and WaterBridge Ventures also participated.
Expanding the factory-to-retailer network
The funding will help bring more manufacturers and retailers onto the platform, support product development and expand the team. The company’s app enables retailers to buy goods directly from factories, with services around ordering, quality assurance and payment security.
The business behind Zorit
Founded in 2015, Bijnis is operated by Bizcrum Infotech and now uses the Zorit company brand. Info Edge’s investment is held through Startup Investments (Holding) Limited. Matrix Partners India subsequently became Z47, while Sequoia India and Southeast Asia became Peak XV Partners.
