SKINGARDEN receives strategic investment from Koraininginsha
The Japanese cosmetics distributor and Korean beauty retailer plan to collaborate on brand launches and distribution.
Koraininginsha has announced a strategic investment in SKINGARDEN, the Korean beauty retailer based in Tokyo’s Shin-Okubo district. The investor said on November 6 that the transaction had been completed on October 30. The amount, stake and financing instrument were not disclosed.
The companies plan to use SKINGARDEN and Koraininginsha’s COSME Re:MAKE store as launch sites for Korean brands entering Japan. Pop-up stores and test marketing will support expansion into wholesale, e-commerce and other retail locations.
