Z_One Fund’s first close exceeds €35m for Italian early-stage investing
CDP Venture Capital anchored the fund through Fondo Acceleratori II, with a €60m total fundraising target.
Other backers include Zest and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. Lazio Innova participates through Z_One Fund Lazio, a parallel vehicle focused on startups connected to the Lazio region.
The main fund is managed by Eureka! Venture SGR and led by Luigi Capello, Giulio Montoli and Giulia Fazzini. It plans up to 100 investments, with initial tickets of up to €250,000 and selective follow-ons of up to €1m. Its strategy combines institutional capital with support for companies’ early commercial development.
Use of funds
Make initial pre-seed and seed investments in Italian AI applications and UrbanTech startups.
Reserve capital for selective follow-on investments.
