Renault and Changxin join XHEART strategic financing
Chery also invests again as the chipmaker builds ties with automotive customers and a memory supplier.
A broader industrial shareholder base
Renault Group has made its first investment in XHEART, while Chery Automobile has followed on and memory-chip producer Changxin Technology has joined the round, according to 36Kr. The financing amount was not disclosed; the approximately CNY5bn cited in the report refers to total funding raised over the company’s history.
The mix brings two carmakers and a memory manufacturer into the shareholder base of a supplier developing chips for increasingly large driving models. Those relationships could matter for customer access and component supply, although the report does not announce a new sales contract or supply agreement tied to the financing.
