Walapay raised a $4.6 million seed round led by Generative Ventures, with Commerce Ventures, Polygon and other investors participating. The company is targeting friction in a large cross-border payments market and says its platform already manages $2.5 billion in annualized payment volume. The capital supports expansion of its payments infrastructure.
