A smaller light engine for AR glasses

Vitrealab’s photonic integrated circuits guide and shape coherent laser light for display systems using liquid crystal on silicon. The design reduces optical losses and system size while preserving polarization and beam quality, helping manufacturers build brighter displays with lower power requirements.

Moving toward production

The financing supports chip development and industrialization, demonstrations of new light-engine architectures and deeper customer partnerships. Vitrealab designs and fabricates its own photonic devices using in-house manufacturing equipment and direct laser writing.
