ViaNautis Bio receives investment from SCI Ventures

Targeting genetic medicines to selected cells

ViaNautis is developing polyNaut, a polymer-nanovesicle system designed to deliver DNA and mRNA to selected cells and tissues without viral vectors. Nanobody guidance is intended to direct the payload, and the platform is designed to be redosable for genetic-medicine programs across disease areas.

The SCI Ventures investment will support expansion of the company’s central-nervous-system portfolio into chronic spinal cord injury. ViaNautis describes its platform as being developed for programs in CNS disease, immunology, oncology and respiratory medicine.
