Versatile RobotX secures more than £1 million
Investment and public innovation support back the transition from farm trials to commercial deployment.
The package brings together British Design Fund and University of Essex Enterprise Limited investment with Innovate UK support and Defra grants. It follows development work alongside commercial growers.
Versatile RobotX is exploring a Robotics-as-a-Service model to reduce the upfront commitment required from farms. Its founders identify affordability, reliability and ease of deployment as the practical conditions growers need before adopting automation.
