UniCredit takes minority stake in VC Trade to expand digital debt markets
The strategic investment will support VC Trade’s growth and international expansion as it digitizes transactions across European debt markets.
Digitizing debt transactions from origination onward
VC Trade connects banks, issuers, arrangers and institutional investors through digital workflows for debt transactions. The platform supports processes from origination and syndication through lifecycle operations, reducing manual coordination among the parties involved in instruments such as syndicated loans and Schuldschein.
UniCredit acquired an undisclosed minority stake to support the company’s continued growth and international expansion. VC Trade is already an established marketplace in the German Schuldschein market, which UniCredit described as leading by both transaction volume and number of deals intermediated.
