Tuntunre wins $1,000 grant for circular fashion
The Nigerian denim-upcycling brand placed second at CP Innovate Pitch and Grant 2026.
Tuntunre won the $1,000 runner-up grant at CP Innovate Pitch and Grant 2026 in Lekki, Lagos, on May 2. Founder Temilade Salami pitched the business at the competition organised by Crosspoint Innovate.
The brand turns discarded denim into bags and other fashion products. Its model combines textile reuse with local design and production, creating new uses for material that would otherwise be discarded.
Navidyn took the $4,000 top award at the same event. The programme supports early-stage businesses through grants, mentorship and practical business guidance.
