Tigris raises $25m Series A for distributed cloud storage
Spark Capital leads financing to expand storage infrastructure for applications running across clouds.
Tigris has raised $25 million in Series A financing led by Spark Capital, with Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Basis Set Ventures also participating. The round was announced in October 2025.
The company develops distributed object storage for applications whose compute runs across clouds and regions. It aims to bring data closer to those workloads while reducing the cost and complexity of moving it between providers.
The financing supports expansion of its storage infrastructure. Tigris was founded by engineers who helped develop Uber’s storage platform.
