Thatch raises $108m for employee-directed health benefits
The platform lets employers set a health budget while employees choose individual coverage and eligible care for their needs.
A defined employer budget with individual choice
Thatch replaces a single group plan with individual health budgets: employers set the amount, and employees select coverage that fits their doctors and prescriptions. Eligible remaining funds can go toward expenses such as copays and prescriptions, with the platform handling enrollment, payments and compliance for benefits teams.
Employees can manage eligible spending through a Thatch Card or reimbursement, while HR teams get an administration and support layer. The company also integrates with platforms including ADP, Paychex, Gusto and QuickBooks.
