Tempo Therapeutics wins conditional $2.25m grant for wound-healing study
The NCI award supports a randomized trial of its MAP Wound Matrix.
Tempo Therapeutics has received an SBIR award from the National Cancer Institute with potential funding of approximately $2.25 million over two years. Continued funding depends on satisfactory progress and availability of funds.
The grant supports MOSAIC II, a randomized study testing whether its MAP Wound Matrix can shorten the time needed to prepare complex wounds for grafting after skin-cancer surgery with exposed bone.
Tempo develops synthetic scaffolds intended to support tissue regeneration. Its lead product has completed an initial human study and been submitted to the FDA through the De Novo pathway.
