TalMal secures undisclosed pre-seed funding for salary-linked purchasing
The Saudi fintech plans to expand its employer and merchant network as it takes a payroll-connected purchasing product toward commercial growth.
A purchase balance connected to payroll
TalMal gives employees a monthly purchasing balance at participating stores, with employers setting each person’s limit as a share of salary. Employees see their available balance and orders in the app, while repayment is handled later through a salary deduction agreed with the employer.
The undisclosed pre-seed investment comes as TalMal moves from product development and business-model validation toward commercial expansion. The company plans to widen its employer and merchant network, grow its employee user base and develop the technology infrastructure that connects all three sides of the service.
