Stoke Space completes initial $1bn Series E closing for reusable rockets
The financing will scale production and flight frequency for Nova while supporting a larger second-generation vehicle and operating infrastructure.
Reusability across both rocket stages
Stoke Space is developing the Nova launch vehicle as a fully reusable rocket. Its design uses active cooling with liquid hydrogen to manage the heat of atmospheric re-entry, including for the second stage, with the goal of returning vehicles for repeated flights rather than discarding them after launch.
The company completed the initial closing of a $1 billion Series E to scale production and flight frequency, develop the second-generation Nova and build operating infrastructure. Stoke says its Pathfinder hardware and ground systems are in testing and it is targeting a first flight in early 2027, while launch contracts provide a commercial path for the vehicle.
