Soundtrap secures SEK40m from Industrifonden as it targets profitability
The Swedish company will invest in its browser-based music and podcast studio after returning to founder ownership.
A collaborative studio in the browser
Soundtrap lets musicians and podcasters record, arrange and edit audio in a browser, then invite collaborators to work on the same project in real time. Its cloud studio also supports educators and students, making a shared session available without requiring each contributor to use the same installed desktop software.
Industrifonden invested SEK40 million as Soundtrap pursues profitability under renewed founder ownership. The former shareholder’s return gives the established platform new capital as it develops a business that serves independent creators, podcast teams and schools.
