Faster evidence for antibiotic selection
ShanX is developing direct-from-sample antimicrobial-susceptibility testing for laboratories and point-of-care settings. Its chemistry monitors microbial metabolism to assess treatment options without the lengthy culture process used in conventional testing. The initial commercial focus is urinary tract infections in women.
Financing the route to market
The €15 million seed financing combines equity, grants and the Innovatiekrediet. A separate €8.85 million European Commission development contract was announced in December 2025 and is excluded from the new round amount. The capital supports clinical validation, regulatory work and commercial preparation.
