Serwas Technologies closes nearly €300,000 pre-seed round for heat-reusing GPU installations
Led by Gateway Ventures, the first close will help Serwas expand its operating server installation and bring the model to more buildings with steady heating demand.
GPU computing with a use for its waste heat
Serwas installs and operates water-cooled GPU servers at sites such as swimming pools and hotels. Direct-to-liquid cooling transfers heat from the servers into a building’s heating and hot-water system, while the GPUs provide computing capacity for AI companies, developers and research teams.
The company’s first live installation is at an Innsbruck public swimming pool. Its nearly €300,000 pre-seed first close, led by Gateway Ventures with Pioneers Club and MCI Innsbruck participating, gives it capital to extend that installation model to additional buildings; a separate second close is planned.
