Rodinia Generation raises €3 million seed funding
EIFO and Climentum Capital backed the Danish company’s expansion of automated, on-demand apparel production.
Rodinia Generation announced €3 million in seed funding from the Danish Export and Investment Fund, EIFO, and Climentum Capital on April 24, 2024. The company planned to expand its European production capacity before entering further international markets.
The Copenhagen company combines hardware and software in automated microfactories that manufacture garments near customers and in short production runs. Its process prints, cures and cuts fabric before local sewing, reducing the time between design and finished clothing.
Rodinia’s first microfactory had been operating in Copenhagen since 2021. The financing supported its ambition to build a wider production network for fashion brands seeking faster replenishment and less unsold inventory.
