A drug-device treatment

The Alluminox approach combines a cell-targeting drug carrying a light-activated dye with local laser illumination. ASP-1929 binds to EGFR on cancer cells before the light activates the treatment.

The financing and clinical stage

The $100 million Series F includes $70 million of new capital and $30 million from conversion of notes and accrued interest. ASP-1929 was approved in Japan; the combination with pembrolizumab remained under investigation in a global Phase 3 trial.

Where the funding goes

  • Accelerate Phase 3 enrolment and prepare a planned 2028 US regulatory submission.
  • Expand operational capabilities and pursue approvals in additional countries.
