QSENSATO secures €1m SAFE to industrialize atomic vapor-cell manufacturing
The Bari spin-off is turning a precision quantum-sensing component into a manufacturable product.
A manufacturing bottleneck inside quantum sensors
QSENSATO’s integrated atomic vapor cells are building blocks for magnetometers, atomic frequency references and radio-frequency sensors. The company’s patented fabrication process is designed to make these cells compact and repeatable, addressing a step between promising laboratory performance and components that sensor makers can produce reliably.
From research spin-off to industrial process
The company is establishing its own fabrication capability at the TecnoPolis science park in Bari and has partnered with Italy’s National Institute of Metrological Research to validate the process. Bringing fabrication in-house gives QSENSATO direct control over how the cells are produced as it develops quantum sensing and metrology applications.
